Neumann KM84 EQ Profile for Slate ML-2

US$7.99

Enjoy this EQ profile that allows your Slate ML-2 mic to get incredibly close to a genuine vintage Neumann KM84i from 1984 WITHOUT using any of Slate’s software. Using precise custom full range microphone test tones and Fab Filter Pro-Q 4’s unparalleled EQ-Match engine, this preset gets closer to the sound of the vintage KM84 than I thought possible.

This emulation was created in 96kHz using a genuine vintage Neumann KM84i (from 1984) and cleanest high-end equipment, such as Sound Devices Mixpre 6 II, Vermouth 2ndborn Cables, and Kali Audio full-range monitors and subwoofer.

Of course, it is impossible to 100% clone the Neumann KM84i due to physical differences and variables (Slate’s ML-2 1st Gen is harder to work with), but Pro-Q 4 get’s it very close. The Slate ML-2 did very well at transforming to the KM84 with EQ alone. Your mileage may vary.

Requirements:

  • Slate ML-2

  • Fab Filter Pro-Q 4 Plugin
