Enjoy this EQ profile that allows an ElectroVoice RE320 Mic to approximate an ElectroVoice RE20 Mic. Using precise custom full range microphone test tones and Fab Filter Pro-Q 3’s unparalleled EQ-Match engine, this preset gets closer to the sound of the RE20 than without it.
This emulation was created in 48kHz using the cleanest high-end equipment, such as Sound Devices Mixpre 6 II, Vermouth 2ndborn Cables, and Kali Audio full-range monitors.
Of course, it is impossible to 100% clone the ElectroVoice RE20 due to physical differences and variables. This is more of a smoothing effect for the RE320 which is otherwise naturally much harsher. Your mileage may vary.
If nothing else, it’s an excellent starting point for mic matching.

To load this preset in PRO-Q 3:
-Download the "TPS RE20 Profile for RE320.ffp" preset and take note of where you've saved it
-Launch the PRO-Q 3 plugin inside your favorite DAW
-Click on the PRESETS button at the top and slight right of PRO-Q 3
-Click OPTIONS and then OPEN OTHER PRESET
-Navigate to where you've saved the "TPS RE20 Profile for RE320.ffp" and add it.
